What is Seamless Checkout?

Seamless Checkout streamlines the gift-buying process for your guests, whether your gifts are registered on Joy, transferred, or synced from external registries. This feature is designed to enhance convenience and ensure that gift-givers can complete their gift purchases directly on your registry without needing to leave your website, saving you from needing to track down who gave what, from what website. Seamless checkout offers you a true hassle-free Registry experience regardless of where you choose to add gifts from. 

How Does It Work?

With Seamless Checkout, eligible products can be purchased directly through Joy, eliminating the extra steps of guests having to navigate to an external registry website, purchase the gift, and then come back to your Joy registry to complete and add purchase details. Your guests will purchase gifts without ever leaving your Joy registry. 

Here’s how it works:

  1. Enable Seamless Checkout when setting up your Joy registry or within your registry’s “Manage” page. 
  2. Your guests will see all gifts in one place and complete the checkout process through Joy, never leaving your registry. As a result, they will not need to come back to Joy to add their additional purchasing details. 
  3. Joy will send a confirmation to guests letting them know their purchases were successful.
  4. All purchased items are automatically marked as “purchased” on your Joy registry so your guests don’t have to worry about doing anything else.
  5. You will have full visibility into who purchased which gifts, regardless of where they were added from 
  6. With a single and complete list of your gift givers, writing your thank you notes can be done with ease. You can even take advantage of our automated Thank You Note Tools to make it a breeze.

  • Q: Which gifts are eligible for Seamless Checkout?
    • A: Once enabled, Seamless Checkout can be used for gifts on external registries that you’ve synced or transferred to your Joy registry, as well as gifts added to your registry through the Quick Add Button.
  • Q: Will guests still have the option to purchase from external registries?
    • A: Yes, guests can choose to purchase from external registries for gifts that are not eligible for Seamless Checkout. Or by following the external link to the original retailer’s website
  • Q: Where can I see tracking for my gifts?
    • A:  You can see which gifts have been purchased as well as tracking information in your Gift Tracker. Go to your registry’s “Manage” page and select “Track.” Here’s where you can send free online Thank You notes, too.
  • Q: Are my gifts eligible for Joy’s Free Shipping?
    • A: For gifts added from external registries, the shipping terms will typically align with the policies of the retailer itself. In this case, the shipping fees, delivery times, and any additional details will be determined by the external retailer’s shipping policies. Any shipping and handling fees will be listed during checkout.
  • Q: Can my gifts be returned?
    • A. Absolutely, you can! We offer hassle-free returns right through Joy.
