Ready to simplify your gift registry? Transferring your Crate & Barrel registry to Joy means all your gifts will be managed in one place. Joy seamlessly moves your gifts from Crate & Barrel, allowing you to add, update, remove, and track items right inside Joy. Guests purchase items directly on the Joy site, making gift-giving a piece of (wedding) cake.

Getting started
- From the Registry page, click the ‘Gifts’ tab.
- Under the External Registry section, click ‘Connect a Registry’ and select Crate & Barrel.
- Add your Crate & Barrel registry link and click ‘Get Started.’
- While Joy connects to Crate & Barrel and you wait for the magic to happen, practice your surprised face for when you receive that unexpected gift from your great-aunt Clara. She always manages to find the most…unique presents.
- Click ‘Next’ then ‘Move Registry to Joy.’
- And just like that, your Crate & Barrel registry is now transferred to Joy!
Turning your external Crate & Barrel registry off
Alright, so you’ve transferred all your registry items to Joy – great move!
But wait, there’s one final step to ensure your gift list is shipshape. By turning off your Crate & Barrel registry on their website, you’ll avoid receiving duplicate gifts (like, say, two gravy boats).
- While logged into your Crate & Barrel website, go here.
- Click on ‘Settings.’
- Scroll down and select ‘No, please make my registry private and do not display it online or on search engines.’
- Tap ‘Save Updates.’
Adding an item from Crate & Barrel post-transfer
Now, picture this: you’re browsing the Crate & Barrel website post-transfer, and lo and behold, you spot a gravy boat that screams “must-have.” With your registry now living on Joy, you’ll need to add that gravy boat directly to Joy, not Crate & Barrel.
There are 2 ways to do this:
Using the Quick Add Button
- Add the Quick Add Button to your browser bar (you can learn how here).
- Find that new must-have item.
- Click ‘Add to Joy’ in your bookmarks bar.
- Click ‘Add Gift.’
- Tap ‘Go to registry’ to view the new item on your Registry page.
Manually adding the item
- Copy the Crate & Barrel URL for the item.
- While on the ‘Gifts’ tab, scroll down and you’ll see a section ‘Continue adding from Crate & Barrel’
- Add the item URL and tap the ‘Add Gift’ button.
- Scroll down for a glimpse of your future gravy boat.
Ta-da! Your Crate & Barrel registry is now part of the Joy family. Managing gifts has never been easier!
