Joining an Event on the Mobile App

When you want to join a wedding through the mobile app, you should first download the app for iOS or Android.

Once downloaded, you can open the app and click on “I’m a Guest.”

Next, you’ll see some highlights of the app, and after scrolling through, you can click on “Already using Joy? Sign in” if you already have a Joy account, or “Sign-up to join an event” if you want to create a new user account.

Once you are logged into your account, you can click on “Join an Event” to join a new event. First, you’ll want to enter the event handle and then the event password. (The event handle is found at the end of the URL. It is a unique name that was provided to you by the event host or couple. For example, in the url, the event handle is amyplusdave):

In some cases, you may only need to enter the event handle if the event host has not set up a password for their event.

Once you enter the event name and password, you can then introduce yourself by adding your name and email before entering the event.

That’s it! Once you’re on the welcome page for the event, then you’ll know you have successfully joined the wedding on the app!
