When you want to join a wedding through the mobile app, you’ll first need to download the app for iOS or Android.
If you’re new to Joy click on “I’m a Guest,” to create an account. Or if you already have a Joy account, click on “I’m Already Using Joy,” to log in.
After creating an account, you’ll instantly be prompted to ‘Join an Event.’ If you’re returning to Joy, you’ll see upcoming or past weddings you’ve already joined and will need to click on the search icon (magnifying glass) to join a new event.
When you’re on the ‘Join an Event’ page, you’ll need to enter the event handle. The event handle is found at the end of the URL. It is a unique name that was provided to you by the event host or couple. For example, in the url withjoy.com/amyplusdave, the event handle is amyplusdave.
If the site is password protected you’ll be prompted for the password and depending of how the couple set up their site, you may also be asked for your name.
That’s it! Once you’re on the welcome page for the event, then you’ll know you have successfully joined the wedding on the app!
