Joy registries can have a mixture of physical gifts, honeymoon funds, cash funds, and charities. (If you’re having trouble finding a couple’s registry, you can search for a couple here.)
If you are looking to contribute to a honeymoon fund or cash fund, first click on the gift. A window will pop up. Here you are allowed to choose the gift amount you would like to give. Share your name and email, along with a Gift Note so that the couple will know who to thank.
When you’re ready to send your gift, click “Add to Cart & Reserve.”
Your cart will open on the right panel showing your contribution amount and payment method. Depending on the payment method you’ve selected you’ll see a button that says ‘Send with Cash/Check’ or ‘Send with Venmo/CashApp/Paypal.’
On the next page, you’ll see the couple’s mailing address if you’ve selected to pay with Cash/Check. If the couple is using Venmo you’ll see their Venmo username and will need to open your Venmo app from your mobile device and send the gift to their Venmo handle. If they linked CashApp or PayPal, click on the Send Gift on CashApp/PayPal and Joy will open CashApp or PayPal in a new tab in your browser.
If you’ve changed your mind, and no longer want to give this gift, be sure to click “Cancel Reservation” from the confirmation screen, so that we unreserve the gift and don’t tell the couple you got this for them!
After you’ve completed the contribution through the linked payment platform, go back to your previous tab to let the couple know you sent your gift.
