Everybody loves presents, and sometimes it’s a relief to know exactly what to give rather than having to come up with the unique, clever, meaningful, beautiful, never-been-done perfect gift. This is why we love registries.
Of course, not everybody will want a registry or feel the need to include it on their website and app. You can, therefore, add or remove the section as your preferences (or need for that gravy boat you saw last weekend) change. Click here to see how to remove the Registry section.
To start you’ll want to navigate to the main “Registries” page from your admin dashboard.
1) Add a link to your existing registry, or create a new registry
To add links that will take your guests directly to your online registries, paste in the URL to your registry in the text field and click “Add Registry”. A dialog will appear showing. The icon for the registry site should appear (such as the Amazon logo below). If we can’t find a good logo for your registry, no problem, you can type in a registry title to display on our website. Add as many links as you would like following the same process. You can even include a Honeymoon fund or PayPal link for those cash registries.
If you haven’t picked out a registry yet, we’ve picked our favorite registry providers. When you find one you like click the “create new registry” button and we’ll send you to the website of the store you’ve selected.
After you’ve completed creating your registry, when you come back to Joy, simply paste in the registry link you created and we’ll display it on your wedding website.
2) Edit your Registry Note
Personalize your page with your registry message: remember, this is the last thing your guests will read before deciding how much money they want to spend on you!
To do this, edit the text in the text box and click “Save Note”.
3) Change the order of your stores
To change the order of how the registries appear on your page, click “Reorder List”. You can then drag and drop your registries in whatever order you like. When you’re finished, click “Finish”.
