How Do Joy Honeymoon & Cash Funds Work?

Joy Honeymoon and Cash Funds are an easy, fun, flexible way to receive cash for anything – your honeymoon, a puppy, a charity you want to support, or something else entirely. When you add a cash fund to your registry, your guests can contribute to it via your favorite cash sharing app, whether that’s PayPal, Venmo, or Square Cash.

Whether you’re living in a small apartment, have plans to move in the near future, or are just looking to give options to your guests, cash funds give spouses-to-be more flexibility. Best of all, there are 0 fees for you or your guests. (We make no money on your cash funds.) When a guest gifts you $100 to a cash fund on your registry, you will receive $100, and your money will be ready for you to use or transfer whenever you want in your linked cash sharing service.

How it works

  1. We’ll help you create cash funds. Create funds for any amount. Name it anything you want, add any image or notes you want. Integrate it with your favorite cash sharing services.
  2. Guests will send you cash. They’ll visit your Joy registry, and shop it like they do any online store. All your gifts, whether they’re a cash fund or a physical gift appears on one convenient page. If they’re interested in contributing to a cash fund, they’ll be able to do so using whichever cash sharing service you integrated.
  3. You’ll receive your gifts in one place. We’ll list all your gifts in your gift tracker and mark what guests buy you as “Purchased.” Keep your cash in the payment methods of your choice or transfer to your bank. As long as your guests complete the transaction the money will be instantly deposited into your Venmo, PayPal, or CashApp account. If you don’t see the money in your account, it’s most likely your guest(s) didn’t complete the transaction.

Please note: Joy is not affiliated with PayPal, Venmo, or Square Cash and we do not have internal specifics on their policies. For further details on international accounts, currency exchange fees and general information, please click here for Paypal, here for Venmo, and here for Cash App.
