Forwarding vs Masking

Joy currently supports domain forwarding. This means that when your guests go to your domain, jackandjill.com for example, they will be redirected to your Joy website.

When you enable forwarding only (without masking), your guests will be forwarded to your Joy website from your custom domain, and the Joy website URL will appear in the browser as well. If you enable forwarding with masking turned on, then when your guests open your website from the custom domain, they will only see the custom domain in the browser and the Joy website URL will never appear.

You may enable forwarding with masking for your domain, but we don’t recommend it – masking does not work well on mobile devices.
