- What is a custom domain?

Joy supports domain forwarding only, meaning once your custom domain redirects to your Joy site, your Joy URL will show in the search bar. If your guests go to jackandjill.com they will be redirected to your Joy website and your Joy URL will be displayed. Joy does not currently offer masking of website addresses, which hides your Joy URL and displays the custom domain in the URL bar. - How much does a personal domain cost?
A personal domain costs around $19.99 for a full year, but the price can vary depending on the domain you chose. - How long will I have my domain?
When you checkout, you have the option to purchase a 1, 2, 3, 5, or 10-year registration. You will be charged for the cost of the registration you sign up for. By default, your domain will auto-renew at the end of your registration period, so that you don’t lose your domain to someone else who may want to purchase it. If you turn this off, your domain will expire at the end of your registration period. - Will my domain ever expire? What happens after the length of my domain registration?
That depends on if you have set your domain to auto-renew or not. By default, your domain will auto-renew. This way, you don’t lose your domain to someone else who may want to purchase it. If you have set your domain to not auto-renew, it will expire at the end of your domain registration. - What happens after my domain expires?
If your domain expires, your wedding website will revert back to its original free address. You won’t lose any information and your wedding website will remain intact. You can see your withjoy URL for your wedding website on the “Settings” page. - Do I get to keep my Joy URL?
Yes, your website is still accessible by your withjoy URL even after you buy a custom domain. Both URLs will lead to your website.
