Choose Your Page Photo

Photos are a huge part of the Joy experience and one of our favorite features on both the website and mobile app. Not only are you able to upload your own engagement photos for everybody to see, but guests will also have the opportunity to post their own memories of your big day.

The page photo, however, will be the most visible picture for users. It serves as the backdrop to your website, mobile app, and official emails to guests (but no pressure!).

Once you create your wedding you’ll want to click on the ‘Photos‘ icon from your admin dashboard, then the ‘Add Photos‘ button. Next, you’ll have the option of directly dragging and dropping photos onto the page, or you can browse your device to select files to import. You can also add photos from a variety of other cloud-based sources, like Unsplash, Facebook, Dropbox, and Google Photos. It’s important to note that you’ll want to make sure your photos are saved without any “&” or spaces in the file name.

Once you’ve upload a few photos to your Moments page, you can then choose different photos for each section by clicking on the corresponding section on the left panel, then the photo you want as the page photo. Be sure to click the “Set Page Photo” button at the bottom of the page to save your change.

You can get creative here! Of course one of your beautiful engagement photos could be the perfect choice, but also consider your favorite nature panorama or a snapshot of a special memory. You can click on Preview Photo to see how it looks before you set it as the page photo.

Like most other things on Joy, your choice isn’t permanent! You can go in any time and navigate to your ‘Photos’ section from the admin dashboard.

Once this is finalized you can even reposition the App photo by clicking ‘Reposition’ under the mobile preview!

You’ll see a preview of how your photo will appear on the right-hand side of your screen (this is different than aligning your photo, which is solely for your website).

Click here for more on repositioning your other page photos.

Make sure you save your changes!
