Adding Guest Tags
With Joy’s guest tags, it’s super easy to place your guests into various categories to help organize your big day. Whether you’re assigning seating arrangements or delegating certain tasks to your wedding party we’ve got you covered.
First, start by selecting the guests you wish to add a tag to. Once you’ve selected a guest or guests, click on Assign Tags on your Guest List toolbar. If that button is grayed out, it’s likely because you don’t have any guests selected yet.
From here you’ll be able to add one or multiple tags from Joy’s curated tag list.
Adding Your Own Guest Tags
Click on “Add / Edit Guest Tags” and then type in the tag you want to create and click on Add. You can then select your custom tag to add to your guests.
To remove tags from a single guest, you can hover over the tag, and click the “X” that appears on the tag:
To remove tags from multiple guests, first select the guests, then click on Assign Tags on the guest list toolbar. Click on the blue highlighted tag(s) that you want to remove:
When you click on a blue tag, it will turn grey, indicating the tag is no longer assigned to those guests.
Searching Guests by Tag
Just click directly on a tag in the guest list and it will be added to the search bar.
Using Tags to Manage Private Events
With our Private Events feature, you can choose to hide or show certain events to specific guests using tags.
For example, you can tag a certain group of guests with “Rehearsal Dinner”, then in your Schedule, you can make your Rehearsal Dinner event visible only to guests with the “Rehearsal Dinner” tag. See the private events article for more.
