When you first sign up for Joy, you will have the option of using Gmail, Facebook, or a unique email and password to set up your Joy account. Below are the pros and cons to each strategy.
If you use your Gmail account, your website and app will automatically be connected to your email and other Google tools.
Pros: Changing your password or user email can easily be done through your google account. You can also connect to other Google tools during your planning process, and you’ll have one less password to remember!
Cons: If you’d rather use a unique email or a joint email with your fiancé for wedding-related issues, this might not be the best option for you.
Pros: Using Facebook makes logging in a click away and allows you to post information your wedding directly from Joy. This also enables you to change you log-in information (whether it be the password or email, itself) from Facebook rather than through Joy.
Cons: If your Facebook is connected to an email you haven’t accessed in years, you might want to either update your Facebook settings, or choose a different way of logging in. Email will be the primary means by which you communicate with guests and hear about updates from our team!
Pros: Using login credentials unique to Joy allows you to use an email and password specific to your website and app. This way you can keep your wedding details separate from other apps, email accounts, and social media platforms in your life.
Cons: Your wedding details will be separate from other apps, email accounts, and social media platforms in your life! From a convenience standpoint, if you need to change your login email, you’ll also need to contact the Joy Team directly. Of course we will respond as quickly as possible, but it is an extra step.
